This was a truly mind-blowing performance. Though after 20 minutes or so, it seemed a little too long. Mostly because we were not able to actually understand what they were trying to convey.
The steps were like ballet that required the dancers to stretch in all possible directions.
The use of black and red as the only colors apart from human skin was ingenious.
Expressions conveyed a lot without any words.
This particular ballerina was so full of grace that it was difficult to concentrate on other dancers while she was performing.
The dance was very difficult-no doubt. And it lasted for almost 50 minutes.
As far as I was able to decipher the meaning of the performance, this dancer was portraying our resistance against growing up and letting our childhood go. The red skull cap was used to symbolize childhood and long, lose hair symbolized womanhood. It was very touching. Beautiful expressions and performance.
They used props like tubs and acts like washing hair and putting on makeup to depict girls past their adolescence.
