, we did all and then grew out of it. Now when I am working and have been in Delhi for more than five years, I still return to Shimla
at the smallest excuse and Shimla never ceases to disappoint me.

Shimla is one of the most densely constructed hill stations in India. Even though the population is high and there is concrete everywhere, Shimla carries a charm that no other hill station
does, especially for me.

The majestic town hall stands amongst the other buildings at Mall Road.
Ridge and Mall road are the two most crowded areas in Shimla. The crowd mostly comprises of college students. Policemen in colorful uniforms patrol the area frequently watching out for miscreants. There is a large number of monkeys as well. They are quite a menace.
Christ Churh against the Dramatic Blue Sky. This is the true nature of Shimla. Nature and Commercialism live side-by-side and the co-existence is so natural that it seems that this is how nature planned it.
The skating rink visible from the Ridge. This hosts national level skating tournaments.
A walk on the mall road makes you feel as if you have all the time in the world for leisure. It is what you call a 'happening' place.
