We visited Pushkar at the end of february this year. This is not THE best time to visit Rajasthan if you are not as lucky as we were. As soon as we deboarded the Ajmer Shatabdi, clouds started gathering. There was rain and hail in the evening. Rest of the trip was pleasant owing to the weather and the resort. We stayed in the Pushkar Heritage resort which is the last resort on the Panchkund road. This meant that it was right at the foot of a beautiful and scenic hilly landscape.
This Great Dane was the first one to greet us in the resort. It was a gentle dog who was terrified of thunder and lightning. We immediately fell in love with him.
These weaver bird nests were the next pleasant surprize. They added a lot to the rustic and close-to-nature feel of the resort.
