My adventurous self finally took over this March and I headed to the hills. Dalhousie beckoned me with its tantalising name and fame. During my three days two nights stay in Dalhousie, I stole a day to visit Khajjiar and Chamba. I am so glad that I did. Khajjiar is unbelievable. Who would have imagined this expansive pastureland surrounded by Deodars right in the middle of a Very Hilly Terrain.
When I reached there, blissfully, there wasn't much crowd. Usually, the entire ground is full of people. In this paricular Picture, the absence of human activity helps in emphasizing the magnificient Deodars.
A close up of Deodars. Look at the two men on the left to get an idea of the sizes of these giant trees
A Colorful bridge leading up to the middle of the lake.
Hills reflected in the water of the lake
Me on the Bridge. My guide obliged me with by clicking this picture.
A horse grazing peacefully. I don't think I have ever got so close to one except at weddings.
Another Horse. This one was rather skinny though considering the amount of fresh grass it has access to.
Cloud rising out of the hills reflected in the lake.
There were several beautiful buildings around the ground. Many of these were restaurants.
Me next to a broken bridge. A Philosophical Setting.
