Joginder Nagar is a town and a nagar-panchayat in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Named after Raja Joginder Sen its terminal point of 163 km long Kangra Valley Narrow gauge railhead. Joginder Nagar is the only town in Asia to have 3 hydro-electric power stations and hence it is popularly known as The Electric City or The City of Powerhouses.

I don't remember this particular place and not sure if its shot between Baijnath and Jogindernagar or not... But roads on the way are same...

Kangra Valley toy-train links Pathankot and Jogindernagar which goes through a maze of hills and valleys by offering travellers amazing scenic view. The work for this rail-line started in 1926 mostly because of major thermal plants in this region. Three years later this 165 km. long route was opened to rail-traffic. The entire route commands beautiful views of nature and unveils Himachali culture.

The surrounding mountains are covered with thick forests of Pine. Rhododendron (locally famous as Brah ka fool) and Deodar trees can be found at high altitude peaks...
Joginder Nagar is a Zone V (Very High Damage Risk Zone) as per Earthquake hazard zoning of India. The after-effects of the earthquake of 1905 are still visible at nearby fort Kila Karanpur.
