Chamera Hydroelectric Project is located in Banikhet, 7 kms from Dalhousie. The water body near the lake is very scenic and is a popular boating spot. I was on a day long journey covering Khajjiar, Chamba, and several other 'points' so just skimmed over this part. I did not climb down all the way to the project for boating.
The scene from the top was mesmerizing.

The sight was beautiful. Banikhet is situated in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas at an altitude of 5,500 feet above the sea level.
The Dam.
One can enjoy boating on the blue water of the river. However, at the time of this picture, I could not see any boats.
Green farms on the fertile banks of the river. The type of farming, predictably, is step farming. The temperatures range from 15 Degrees C to 25 Degrees C and at times can drop below freezing point.
Vegetation is usually Alpine. Dense forests of pine trees can be seen on the hills on the side of the river. Climb up a little and you see pine trees give way to the massive bluish-green deodars.
