PALAMPUR to BAIJNATH :: Travelling-Camera sharing most beautiful stretch of Road Journey in Himachal Pradesh
Baijnath is located at average elevation of 1320 metres (4340 feet). It is a small township in the Dhauladhar range of western Himalayas and 18 kilometers from Palampur in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh(INDIA).

Many times I suggest a drive on this road to my friends who plan to visit Dharmshala or Palampur.. I love this road because of its richness in terms of natural beauty around this having tea gardens and pine trees in most of the stretch...
Wonderful road... I have been to Baijnath many times and always seen this road is best possible conditions... There is Cant area on the way to Baijnath from Palampur and that may be a reason for good maintainance of this road... Its been oberserved that roads and areas around indian military camps are very well maintained... Similar is the case on the road from Dharmshala to Mcleodjang...

This photograph has been shot after having lunch at Taragarh Palace which is built during 1930 by a very youngruler of Bahawalpur, Nawab Sadiq Mohammed Khan Bahadur. It was named as Al Hilal (literally the Land of the crescent moon) and now called Taragarh after Maharani Tara Devi, of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir who became its subsequent owner.

Palampur town (1220 meters) is situated in a valley priding itself with tea gardens and snow covered hills of dhauladhar mountain ranges. The place enjoys a year round pleasant climate and the pine scented air, which are uncompararble properties of Palampur. Palampur is really very rich in terms of natural resources: Best Climate during most of the part of an year, very good power and water supply, very good living standards as compared to other main towns in Himachal Pradehs, Most of the modern facilities are avaialable, Good connectivity from oethr states and main cities n so many other things I can't explain here... I dream of a sweet home here...
