Very old travel Photographs of Snow Fall in Arunachal Pradesh by Vishal Sharma.....

Arunachal Pradesh is a state of India which is located in the North-East part of the country. It borders the states of Assam and Nagaland and shares borders with Burma/Myanmar in East, Bhutan in the northwest, and Tibet in the north.

See these roads on snow covered hills... We used to travel during snowfall which because of tight project scheduling...

Some areas in Arunachal Pradesh gets snowfall in most of the time in an year...

The climate of Arunachal Pradesh varies with elevations in different regions of the state. Areas that are at a very high elevation in the Upper Himalayas close to the Tibetan border enjoy an alpine and Tundra climate.

Arunachal Pradesh receives heavy rainfall annually and most of it between May - September...

Much of Arunachal Pradesh is covered by the Himalayas. However some parts of Lohit like Changlang and Tirap are covered by the Patkai hills.

Arunachal Pradesh means "land of the dawn lit mountains" in Sanskrit. It is also known as "land of the rising sun" in reference to its position as the easternmost state of India.

Kangto, Nyegi Kangsang, the main Gorichen peak and the Eastern Gorichen peak are some of the highest peaks in this region of the Himalayas.

Many of the localities are connected through these kinds of roads... and we loved the whole journey during 4 months of our stay in the state..

Below the Upper Himalayas are the Middle Himalayas where people experience a temperate climate. Areas at the sub-Himalayan and sea-level elevation generally experience humid, sub-tropical climate with hot summers and mild winters.

The majority part of State's territory is claimed by the People Republic of China as part of its Tibetan Autonomous Region(TAR). The current border is the McMahon Line agreed upon by Great Britain and the then de-facto independent Tibet in a 1914 treaty. The then-in-power Republic of China government had not been party to the treaty which resulted in a dispute over the treaty's legitimacy.

I forgot the name of this river.. Here we crossed using a wooden boat and we were very scared to see the condition of that boat.. I have misplaced photograph of that boat somewhere.. will share in case I find it :-)
