The Spree supplies most of Berlin's drinking water and other needs. A large part of the river's water is pumped up out of the coal mines around Cottbus, replacing the ground water which itself has been reduced by constant use over the centuries...
There were many beautiful buildings around the path we were following in Spree river... we had a gentleman sitting behind us who was regularly telling us about these buildings but now I realize that I should have noted down that information in my diary... in that way I would have more to share here... But never mind, its about PHOTO JOURNEY... :)
