During my Sabbatical in Feb this year, I went for a solo trip to Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh on a friend's recommendation. While staying in Delhi, I took a taxi to Khajjiar and reached there early morning, which was a good thing. The place is a very popular tourist spot and is therefore almost always crowded. In my case, early arrival ensured a stress-free stroll and some amazing pictures.
The ground was covered with soft grass and the area was lined with tall deodars lending it an appearance of a bowl.
Tourists had only just started arriving. Therefore, there were only a few cars parked. The lake in the center could have been better maintained though.
Houses with colorful sloped roofs dotted the scene here and there adding more character to the scene.
A close-up of some of the buildings in the area. houses with sloped roofs fascinate me a lot.
One of the old houses in a typical "Kashmir ki kali" kind of a setup. Very Romantic!!
Brilliant reflection of the surrounding hills. As I mentioned earlier, the lake could have been maintained better....
