A Late Evening Glance at India Gate with my Travelling Camera

The India Gate is one of the largest war memorials in India. Situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the members of the erstwhile British Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for the Indian Empire in World War I and the Afghan Wars. Originally, a Statue of King George V had stood under the now-vacant canopy in front of the India Gate, and was removed to Coronation Park with other statues. Following India's independence, India Gate became the site of the Indian Army's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, known as the Amar Jawan Jyoti.

Food at Andhra Bhavan is good and they serve Thali @ 80 Rs for one person.. Its Veg Thali with unlimited service of Rice, Roti, Number of dishes... Few things like Curd, Papad, sweet-dish is served only once... Non-Veg is available but we didn't like it.. So wehenever we go to Andhra Bhavan for Dinner, we only take Veg Thalis... In Lunch time Puri is served instead of Rotis...Secure 24 * 7..Security of INDIA GATE is taken care by Army and there is some restricted area near to actual Gate where nobody can go... There is circular iron-chain around main gate which defines the boundary for normal civilians... and Security people look great in their unique attire with nice boots and powerful guns...Every Night Hundreds Celebrate their Indian Origin...Normally people visit the pace but hit season is summers and monsoons... Of-course, one can find huge crowd at INDIA GATE everytime but yes evenings are more crowded... Once I had seen an exhibition by Anindo Ghosh @ IHC Delhi and he had some brilliant shots of India gate, serial lights around it and their reflection in water ponds on its sides... All of them were stunning shots of INDIA GATE...A Permanent Flame...I usually visit India Gate with friends in the evening and take our Dinner at Andhra Bhavan which is on the circular road around India Gate... we need to take the car on Ashoka Road and then a cut... Food at Andhra Bhavan is good and they serve Thali @ 80 Rs for one person.. Its Veg Thali with unlimited service of Rice, Roti, Number of dishes... Few things like Curd, Papad, sweet-dish is served only once... Non-Veg is available but we didn't like it.. So wehenever we go to Andhra Bhavan for Dinner, we only take Veg Thalis... In Lunch time Puri is served instead of Rotis...Secure 24 * 7..Security of INDIA GATE is taken care by Army and there is some restricted area near to actual Gate where nobody can go... There is circular iron-chain around main gate which defines the boundary for normal civilians... and Security people look great in their unique attire with nice boots and powerful guns...Every Night Hundreds Celebrate their Indian Origin...Normally people visit the pace but hit season is summers and monsoons... Of-course, one can find huge crowd at INDIA GATE everytime but yes evenings are more crowded... In the evenings, there are lot many eating options around it which starts from Chana-Jor-Garam, Bhel-Puri, various brands of Ice-Creams with different options, Pani-Puri, Chats and what not... Situated in the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the members of the erstwhile British Indian Army who lost their lives fighting for the Indian Empire in World War I and the Afghan Wars. Originally, a Statue of King George V had stood under the now-vacant canopy in front of the India Gate, and was removed to Coronation Park with other statues. Main places to see & Top things to do around Dalhousie : Stunning Hill Station in Himalayan State of India

  Dalhousie is one of the most popular Hill Stations in Himachal  and there is lot to explore around Dalhousie. This is small and very well maintained town in Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh . This Photo Journey shares some of the exciting places around Chamba and how to plan a good one day tour through Khajjiar, Chamba & Chamera etc. CHAMERA HYDROLIC PROJECT Chamera Hydroelectric Project is located in Banikhet, 7 kms from Dalhousie. The water body near the lake is very scenic and is a popular boating spot. Chamera Dam is around 40 kilometers from Chamba Town. It takes approximately 1.5 hrs to reach the place is road condition is good. Overall it’s a little dry terrain as compared to Dalhousie and Khajjiar. And temperature also goes up as we go towards Chamera Dam.  As you move out from Chamba town, you follow Ravi river for some time and then take right. After 45 minutes of drive, you get a glimpse of Chemera Dam.
