Fourth day of MTB Himachal 2010 was a rest day and some of us planned to go on a trek till nearest mountains which were covered with snow. Here are few photographs of the trekking experience at Kullu Sarahan...
So these mountains were our target for the day and we started early morning. Let me share me that I quit the troop on the way and many of them reached there... So the journey started from the camp after having breakfast...
There was a huge ground behind our camp site and we had to cross this to start climbing towards the real himalayas with snow....
After crossing this ground we saw lot of fields of charas crop in the hills.... Locally its called as 'bhang' and after few minutes we realized that the whole ground is surrounded by such crops... Colorful leaves which produce the real hash which is consumed in various parts of the country...
As we started climbing, we encountered these colorful crops called "CHALAI".. Chalai floor is considered as good source of warmth for the body and such things are extremely important for people living at high altitudes... So most of the local folks grow chalai crops...
Colors during the journey were becoming brighter as we climbed up... Brighter sky, colorful trees and various types of stones....
There were various waterfalls on the way.... All the shots of these waterfalls have been taken by zooming... Thanks MTB Himachal to provide this opportunity to know about the real nature of Himachal Pradesh... Lovely place, wonderful people and no words to describe the weather....
Another waterfall on the way and colorful plants on both the sides of the fall...
A small waterfall on the way and this was the point where some of us stopped climbing up & came back....
Top most hill had a flat area to retain the snow...
