On third day of MTB Himachal 2010, weather was good with clear/bright sky, good sunlight and we started our journey from Tanni Jubber to Kullu Sarahan.... Journey started from Tanni Jubber lake and we took a very narrow road to hit the highway which connects Shimla with Rampur... The whole stretch was beautiful and was surrounded with very high hills covered with snow... Whole stretech was very risky because of some sharp turns and deep valleys... Here are few photographs after we hit the main highway...
There were some lovely bridges on the way which were very well maintained and only one vehicle was allowed to cross at one time... This particular bridge was over Satluj river near the main highway which connects Shimla with Kinnaur & Kaza...
Here is another bridge on the way and we stopped here to click some photographs near Satluj river... Here Jimsee is looking for right place and right subject to shoot... This Bridge was not in use and we stepped down to the river bank to click some portraits..
All the roads we followed were unimaginably rough and I think it was intentional to make it more adventurous for riders :)
Lot many waterfalls on the way... This particular waterfall was clicked with full zoom(200mm) and original photograph was further cropped :)
A board of "Satluj Jal Vidut Nigam Limited" on river bank .... A beautiful iron bridge in the background...
MTB Himachal Rider number 2 on National Highway 22... They rode on main highway for 30 minutes and again diverted to some unexplored roads which are rarely used by local folks ....
Another view of Mational Highway 22 with snow covered hills in the background and some colorful houses on the right... River Satluj is on the left side of this road....
Here is a sample road which connects National Highway 22 with another main road which goes to Nirmand.. Nirmand is famous as biggest old village in asia...
One of the MTB Himachal rider crossing another iron bridge over Satluj River near National Highway 22...
We had a 30 minutes halt on the river bank and some riders are still doing some practice to check overall state of their cycles... Here Mr. Dutta is name of this rider who came from Maharashtra to enjoy bike riding in Himalayan terrains...
Marshal Bike on river bank and snow covered mountains in the background...
Another rider having some water and security personnel on Satluj Bank... More exciting journey is yet to cover on third day and will share next post about our journey till the last race track till Baghi-Pul.. So watch out this place for more photographs of MTB Himachal 2010...
