Bourton on the Water is the a tidy Cotswolds town that sits on both the banks of the river Windrush. It is a major tourist stop and is often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds because of the river running through it and its low, stone bridges. This was the prettiest of all the Cotswolds towns that we visited on this trip.
Our tour bus dropped us at the parking lot and we had to walk to the centre of the town where the river flows. On the way we came across several trademark Cotswolds cottages and this close called Foxes Close. Close in British Sense means a narrow alley or pathaway.
People relaxing on the banks of the river Windrush. Your would've seen similar scenes on handouts distributed by various builders of apartment complexes. They lead the buyers to believe that the lifestyle in the apartment complexes will be as laid back and chilled out as in some of these British Towns.
A low stone bridge on the river Windrush. You find numerous cafes and Souvenir shops on both the banks of the rivers. Children playing freely in the shallow river and fishermen idling around with their fishing rods doing their work for them are part of the common weekend scene in the town.

People picnicking on the banks of the river. You'll see people of all age-groups having fun. The best part of this lifestyle is that no one judges the others too much. Old people are entitled to having as much fun as the youngsters.
My Friend Hannah. She was constantly attracted to shops selling antiques and vintage stuff. Me and Kelsey were equally interested/disinterested in everything so we had no issues in following her around. Cotswolds was the best part of this trip and Bourton on the Water was the best town we visited in the Cotswolds.
