Thanks to Facebook & Delhi Drum Circle, that I got to know about this event and I moved towards this wonderful place called Deer Park in Hauz Khas Village !!! Check out this PHOTO JOURNEY through various drum beats, dance moves, other musical instruments, Enthusiastic people and loads of Fun...
Although I don't know many of these folks but all of them were rocking... I was there with Camera but hardly I was able to focus on Photography because their music was amazing and I preferred to enjoy the music instead...
It was just the beginning when people started enjoying the music to the core and dancing at the place they were sitting...
Initially these folks with drums were settled on the benches arranged in a Circle and over the time they started moving around & dancing with their drums...
"Drum circles are community gatherings where people from all walks of life come together to play hand-drums in a casual, community-orientated and safe environment. if you are a drummer, please bring your instrument(s) along and play with us!"
A sweet kid who was thoroughly enjoying the drum circle activities... Initially she was sitting near this Tabla and then danced a bit... After some time she though of helping her mom to click some photographs :)
Here are two folks with Bansuri and they rocked... Lovely tunes and amazing sync.. At some places they were leading the drum beats and it was awesome... at drum Circle everyone gets equal chance to initiate a particular tune and other support with their musical instruments....
Here is another kid who was a very enthusiastic Drummer and he used to try various things & sometimes very different from what others were doing.. :)
It was my first visit to Delhi Drum Circle but it seems many folks who are not actually drummers, also come to these circles and enjoy the music to the fullest !!!
The same kid with Tabla is now clicking some Photographs of drummers and hr Mom :)
People had various types of drums with different types of music... Also the techniques each one had were different... It seems they also share some tips with the group whenever required... The gentleman sitting in the middle ( with white shoes...) gave some tips during the middle of drum circle and everyone applied those things on that particular moment... They practiced those things for about 20 minutes...
"A drum circle is any group of people casually playing hand-drums and percussion in a circle. They are distinct from a drumming group or troupe in that the drum circle is an end in itself rather than preparation for a performance. They can range in size from a handful of players to circles with thousands of participants."
It seems girls here are discussing the dance strategy as these girls were really enjoying the drum beats with their dance moves...
Wow !!! When I saw him doing this first time, he was awesome and the enthusiasm to try new things every time was commendable...
Drum beats are high and folks are thoroughly enjoying the dance inside the Drum Circle... It was becoming difficult for me to take camera up and click a photograph as I also wanted to enjoy the music...
So finally I also saw one guitar in this Drum Circle :)
Sorry, but I am not sure about the name of this instrument but sound out of these was awesome !!! Something similar to the music we hear in rave parties ...
Thanks to Prince who told me the name of this instrument after I posted this story on my blog - "Didgeridoo" and also known as "didjeridu"

Wonderful steps and most enjoyable dance moments... Slow and in sync with drum beats...
Next time I should go with a Drum as well... but surely I need to study these instruments thoroughly... or probably catch someone from the Drum Circle to guide me...
"Typically, people gather to drum in drum "circles" with others from the surrounding community. The drum circle offers equality because there is no head or tail. It includes people of all ages. The main objective is to share rhythm and get in tune with each other and themselves. To form a group consciousness. To entrain and resonate. By entrainment, I mean that a new voice, a collective voice, emerges from the group as they drum together"
