Udaipur, better known by most of us for its luxurious 'Lake Palace Resort' is one of the most famous tourist attractions for foreigners in India. We had it on our travel diary for quite sometime and finally made it to a family outing there this March.
After a 4 hours long drive through the deserts from Ahmedabad , the scenic beauty of the city was quite refreshing :)
The Monsoon Palace, also called Sajjangarh Fort is located on the hilltop at an elevation of around 3100 ft . Owing to our driving inertia we chose to drive higher the same day... You'll find many photographers spending hours sitting there taking clicks, it being a peaceful hilltop from where you can get a bird's eye view of the whole city.
Sunset was beautiful there.
