After extremely hectic day-1 of MTB Himachal 2011, it was fresh morning at Ghada Kufar... Since last night we reached in the dark, it was beautiful surprise in morning... What a wonderful place it was... So today's PHOTO JOURNEY started from Ghada Kufar's lush green ground surrounded by huge cedars ...
Most of the folks are out of their tents and getting ready for Day-2 of MTB Himachal 2011... Wonderful sunlight, soothing sounds, fresh air and all officials/Marshals in hurry :) ... I can't forget breakfast between 6:30 am to 7:30 am...
Competition to get first entry :)
Sunlight has started touching green ground of Ghada Kufar and it's an indication that we are getting late to start the day... Today I thought of joining media folks, so that we have flexibility of moving ahead of riders to have some shots at appropriate place...
Miss Monika, 1st runner up of MTB Himachal 2011 !! All these folks take good care of their cycles.

Nepali folks easily get bored if they have to wait for a longer time without riding and the term 'longer period' is very subjective :)
Army riders having sunbath during the wait time...
Ha ha ha... We completed first stage...
Why these folks are doing time pass and making me wait for next stage :) ... Do these expressions say this?
A photograph from Ghada Kufar ... Water pound surrounded by Himachali houses and a small market...
Finally Stage one started after waiting time for 45 minutes...
Mr. Aneesh kept telling me about clicking photographs for branding as well... Although I clicked, but he always noticed me clicking riders and landscapes :)
Highway near Matiana was in very bad shape but riders don't like smooth roads, so they were happy :)
Army team crossing Matiana and reaching Shilaroo stadium .... During MTB Himachal 2011, Shilaroo stadium was decided as place for lunch break...
Mountain Terrain Bikes waiting at Shilaroo Hockey Stadium. As told by some folks in the troop, it's highest Hockey Stadium in Asia...
Here is another view of Shilaroo Hockey Stadium.. This Photograph is clicked from main highway...
Stage two has started from Shilaroo Stadium and now folks are moving towards Hatu Peak... Hatu peak was highest point of MTB Himachal 2011...
One of the tired rider dragging his bike on a rough track during MTB Himachal 2011 !!! Mountain Terrain Biking is very different experience and it needs high commitment to complete...
Rider number 55 climbing up through a village near Narkanda... Most of these uphills and downhills were extremely tough and this time route was toughest one in India... Last time during MTB Himachal 2010, there was no serious injury and this time three folks got major injuries... Out of three, one was seriously injured...
We met this kind man who saw us walking up and offered tea at his place ! Since we had to catch riders on hill top, we missed this opportunity :)
Media gang ! Pawan, Chandan, Saurabh, Vikas and Rohit ... Happy to see tarmac near Hatu base...
Dhananjay sharing information about different stages of Day-2... Every morning all the rider are briefed about different stages, distances between different points, kind of terrains etc... Although all the riders keep a route map with them with all details about altitude, distance etc.
NIrjala climbing up towards Hatu Peak, which is one of the wonderful place during this trek...
Cycle need some rest on the way to Hatu because the route is extremely steep and weather was changing during the evening... It was very cold on top...
Just 3 Kilometers away and on back route all of them had to walk with their bikes... Most of the times, there is no path to ride and one needs to pick the bike or drag it carefully... Although some crazy folks were there, who rode on rough hills as well... I have few videos which will be shared soon...
Bike Marshal are waiting for riders to come back and deviate from main road to walk down through dense forest on Hatu peak... There was no proper path to ride the bike, so just pick/drag through the forest and reach camping site at Tani Jubber...
