An exiciting Cricket Match between Sarahan and Shimla team @ Kullu-Sarahan, Himachal Pradesh !!!

On reaching Kullu Srahan, our car got stuck near a water stream and rescue team was called to recover it.. All of us were asked to come out and there was no time to take our bags out... It seems their captain is here in the photograph and one of them wanted me to wait for him :) ... Anyway, I clicked and asked them to have another one after match !!!It was evening time and clouds were also roaming around... Feeling clouds on such high places is pleasant but what about this critical match. And I am not joking, it was really a serious match and Sarahan team made sure that best players are there on ground... It seems they called one of their good batsman from village and waited for 15 minutes. In the mean time they were practicing like our Indian team :)What a shot !!! Is it six or four..Match started with toss and Sarahan team started with batting... Most of their initial shots were telling us about the results of this match. Most of them fours and sixes. Lot of catches were missed my Shimla folks, but weather was not favorable... Their hands were freezing and it was hard to imagine for me that they are comfortably playing cricket. Some of the players in Sarahan team were in shorts :)Here is a photograph of Sarahan School and boundary of this ground was near to this school.It was a match with common fielding, which means all the players from both the teams had to field. It was forth day of the event and a rest day at Sarahan.


Light was getting low and colors in this photograph were not looking nice, so thought of making this black and white :)


On reaching Kullu Srahan, our car got stuck near a water stream and rescue team was called to recover it.. All of us were asked to come out and there was no time to take our bags out... So some of us thought of joining Sarahan Cricket Team and challenge them.. Check out the next PHOTO JOURNEY here...Here is Sarahan cricket team although Rohit and Subhash have joined them for this photograph... It seems their captain is here in the photograph and one of them wanted me to wait for him :) ... Anyway, I clicked and asked them to have another one after match !!!It was evening time and clouds were also roaming around... Feeling clouds on such high places is pleasant but what about this critical match. And I am not joking, it was really a serious match and Sarahan team made sure that best players are there on ground... It seems they called one of their good batsman from village and waited for 15 minutes. In the mean time they were practicing like our Indian team :)What a shot !!! Is it six or four..Match started with toss and Sarahan team started with batting... Most of their initial shots were telling us about the results of this match. Most of them fours and sixes. Lot of catches were missed my Shimla folks, but weather was not favorable... Their hands were freezing and it was hard to imagine for me that they are comfortably playing cricket. Some of the players in Sarahan team were in shorts :)Here is a photograph of Sarahan School and boundary of this ground was near to this school.It was a match with common fielding, which means all the players from both the teams had to field. Video embedded in the end is about the same activity of writing name on ground !!! Just check out this warm-up session !!!Suddenly he realized that helmet and other required equipments were missing and he should not proceed with stunting exercise without those... A quick ride till camp and coming back took 8 odd minutes and everyone was excited to see real action !!!Sarahan school was open during the day and classes were going on in open area outside school boundary from where whole Sarahan ground was visible... All school children along with their teachers were looking towards us and somehow we were feeling bad about it... Bust suddenly teachers thought of freeing up all the students for some time and watch the action in their village !!! You can one boy and a girl in the background of photograph above...While going up, he drove bike on this bridge but somehow he was cautious in front of my Travelling Camera :) ... which was quite obvious ;)In case you don't see much energy and adventure in these shots, that's pure fault of my photography as this whole session was mind blowing and his bike was flying like anything... Even I feel that I could not capture it well...Suddenly whole environment changed in Sarahan... People form village started coming to this ground and few folks who used to play cricket also thought of coming to this ground in advance... Whole day in Kullu Sarahan was full of fun and masti ... As per knowledge I have, he has won many competitive bike rallies with same bike while other competitors have been coming with imported bikes mainly used in such rallies...There were lots of water streams in this ground, but the whole session was smooth and enjoyable... and I pray to god that Himachal Government don't see this ground, as they are spoiling some of the natural beauties by building sports complexes on top of them... As per knowledge I have, he has won many competitive bike rallies with same bike while other competitors have been coming with imported bikes mainly used in such rallies...There were lots of water streams in this ground, but the whole session was smooth and enjoyable... and I pray to god that Himachal Government don't see this ground, as they are spoiling some of the natural beauties by building sports complexes on top of them... I don't think it's right...In Feb 2011, Aneesh had made a record of reaching Hatu peak with his bike when whole area was covered with snow... Main places to see & Top things to do around Dalhousie : Stunning Hill Station in Himalayan State of India

  Dalhousie is one of the most popular Hill Stations in Himachal  and there is lot to explore around Dalhousie. This is small and very well maintained town in Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh . This Photo Journey shares some of the exciting places around Chamba and how to plan a good one day tour through Khajjiar, Chamba & Chamera etc. CHAMERA HYDROLIC PROJECT Chamera Hydroelectric Project is located in Banikhet, 7 kms from Dalhousie. The water body near the lake is very scenic and is a popular boating spot. Chamera Dam is around 40 kilometers from Chamba Town. It takes approximately 1.5 hrs to reach the place is road condition is good. Overall it’s a little dry terrain as compared to Dalhousie and Khajjiar. And temperature also goes up as we go towards Chamera Dam.  As you move out from Chamba town, you follow Ravi river for some time and then take right. After 45 minutes of drive, you get a glimpse of Chemera Dam.
