During recent trip in Himalayas, we also visited a small village called Ghada Kuffer with amazing natural beauty. We reached this place after crossing various hills, raw roads and dense forests, but all was worth... Let's have a quick Photo Journey of this place in Shimla region of Himachal Pradesh...
This was our camping ground. It was actually a natural ground in the middle of dense forest with high cedars and pine trees. Although it was just beginning of October, but it was too cold out there. Weather made our experience more interesting :)
Tents were installed all over Ghada Kuffer. This place was not close to the village but very approachable. There are 3-4 shops in the village for regular stuff. It was around 10 minutes walk to these shops and a beautiful water pond in the middle of Ghada Kuffer Market.
As we start moving towards Ghada Kuffer village or market, the camp ground looked more beautiful. It was a climb from camping ground to Ghada Kuffer Market, although not very steep. For some of us it was easy and few of u were not very comfortable in taking short-cuts, so a dedicated road was also there which takes 10 minutes extra...
Ghada Kuffer resident with typical Himachali Cap. Usually this cap can be seen in upper Himachal region, but at some places natural flowers are also added on top of it. And it's really surprising that flowers looks almost fresh all the time, unless cap is kept under pressure.
A water pond near Ghada Kuffer Market... There are Various houses around this pond and folks in the village are mainly dependent on agriculture and Apple business. Although not everyone has Apple business.
There are lot of such beautiful places in Hills of Himachal Pradesh and state of India, but least explored. Many time Himachal Tourism visited this place for analyzing the scope of tourism, but nothing happened till. This is what villagers told us.
In past some of the folks also constructed their houses in a way that later, one portion can be converted into Guest-house under new home-stay scheme by Himachal Pradesh Tourism department.
Kids following the lines...
The very good part about villages in Himachal is about their thoughts around education. It's very hard to locate any child who is not going to schools and most of them do metric at least. Himachal Pradesh is one of the top 3 states in India, when we talk about Literacy.
A view of hills around Ghada Kuffer Village, although this photograph is clicked when we left the village and moved towards Shilaroo.
With this, PHOTO JOURNEY to Ghada Kuffer ended and hope to visit more such unexplored places in different states India and share on this blog !!!
