For last three days OYA Motorsports was organizing Auto Cross and Motorcross at Mohali, Punjab, It was happening opposite of Phase-7 and YPS Mohali. Many people know this place by Sabzi-Mandi as well. Today was final day with various rounds for different category candidates, who were shortlisted during last twi days. Let's have a quick PHOTO JOURNEY from 24th Dec'2011...
There were different rounds for Bikers and 4-wheelers. In fact, there were many categories among these riders on the basis of type of vehicles and power associated with these machines. Bike Adventure is something very interesting to shoot, although shooting flying cars is great experience.
We had dirt-bath throughout the day. It was a huge ground where tracks were created with some differentiation at different places. Dust was negligible during bike race, as compared to the time when only two cars were taking rounds on these tracks. My black colored bag had literally changed to yellowish color.
This was one of the most interesting challenge where some of the selected 4 wheelers had to follow a very rough route to finish. There was a 10 feel deep hole with rough base and final phase had again a 4-6 feet hole with mud in it. Some of the cars stuck during final phase and needed to be recovered by cranes. At the same time, some of the Mahindra and Maruti 4*4 crossed it quit easily. This track was done in 43 seconds by Gagan & Nagra !!!
There was one Pagero, which also did this track quite easily. Tractor tyres were used in that Pajero ! Details about OYA Mohali can be checked at - http://oyamohali.com/
Old Yadavindrians Association (OYA) has been organizing this motorsports event in Mohali for last three years. OYA started this event to encourage drivers to race in a safe arena rather than indulging in illegal street racing causing danger to themselves and others. Maintaining this commitment the 3rd edition of this event has been named 'JK Tyre OYA Autocross & Motocross 2011'... The event is being organized in association with Team Chandigarh Adventure Sports. Rally drivers like Sunny Sidhu, Suresh Rana, Harpreet Bawa, Capt Pandey, Anil Wadia participated in this event, along with many others...
These are only few of the photographs I clicked today and many others will be shared in few days, as I am out on vacations now :)

Different types of Indian, modified and imported bikes were present during the event. One of the bike which was imported one, was standing out among the bikers group on OYA ground at Mohali. And the same bike needed something to push for initial start. Don't know the reason though...
Biker events were more exciting to see, as multiple bikes were roaming around this ground at one point of time. While it was not possible for multiple cars to do the same way. Only two cars were running on the ground as one point of time, in two different laps.
This was another category where cars had to cross through different types of hurdles. Some of the 4 by 4 cars of Mahindra, Maruti & other cars like Pajero & Toyota Fortuner were participating in this category.
This particular Jypsy driven by Gagan was moving very smoothly through these hurdles and crossed all of them in record 43 seconds. I am not sure who won finally as there were different rounds, so consistency was also important throughout the sessions...
Here come Mahindra Thar to take on this challenge and did well !!!
After crossing most of the hurdles, this PAJERO stuck in final pahse. This photograph is not from last phase. Last phase was about a big pound with mud in it...
