It was performed in Kamani and whole auditorium was full of audience from various parts of the country. Byomkesh play was performed at 14th Bharat rang Mahotsav 2012. It was one of the exciting plays of Bharangam 2012. It was performed in Kamani and whole auditorium was full of audience from various parts of the country. Let's have a quick Photo Journey of Byomtesh, a Bengali play with English subtitles...Inspired by the fictitious character of Sherlock Holmes, Byomkesh Bakshi was created as the intelligent, mystery-loving and mystery-solving detective of Bengali literature. And most of the folks also relate to Byomtesh as one of the popular Indian Detective, who was seen many times on Doordarshan-1. This is one of the TV-Serials, our generation has seen on DD-1. During childhood Byomkesh was one of the hero and now if we see some of the episodes, it looks like a comedy serial. This play was on same lines, but there were few things which were seriously taken care of.Play starts with a phone call to Byokesh that an old man of a family has been found dead with some odd things happening in the family. At the same time police has started the investigations around the case. There was a very common thing in all Byomkesh episodes on Doordarshan and Police used to give some non-sense reasoning. And Byomkesh always used to think differently. Same thing happened in this play as well. police Inspector was interesting and delivered some of the humorous dialogs brilliantly. There were some flash-back scenes in this play. Above scene was shown when Police Inspector was asking questions from home servant in that house. He is in flash-back and thinking of conversation between him and his Boss, who is not alive now.Similar to Holmes who had his companion in Watson, Byomkesh also cultivates the friendship of Ajit Bandhopadhyay who is his perennial fellow adventurer on his quest to solve mysteries and murders. Holmes and Byomkesh had one major difference - the former was disinterested in women and stayed a bachelor, while Byomkesh meets his life-partner Satyabati and eventually marries her. See the photograph below, which is a conversation about investigations but expressions of Byomkesh can interpreted in two ways...Here Byomkesh is interrogating one of the lady in house and she has few things missing from her room. Initially she was very comfortable and denied of any change in her room. But later it came out that a needle was missing from her room, which was found near Dead-body. Let me stop here as I am not supposed to share exact story here.One of the family-member was fond of Sitar and most of the times he can be found on it. He was handicapped and looked someone who is more into reading, music & happy to be alone.After all interrogation sessions with different Family Members and more information from outside sources, Byomkesh reaches to final culprit and he accepts his fault. Main places to see & Top things to do around Dalhousie : Stunning Hill Station in Himalayan State of India

  Dalhousie is one of the most popular Hill Stations in Himachal  and there is lot to explore around Dalhousie. This is small and very well maintained town in Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh . This Photo Journey shares some of the exciting places around Chamba and how to plan a good one day tour through Khajjiar, Chamba & Chamera etc. CHAMERA HYDROLIC PROJECT Chamera Hydroelectric Project is located in Banikhet, 7 kms from Dalhousie. The water body near the lake is very scenic and is a popular boating spot. Chamera Dam is around 40 kilometers from Chamba Town. It takes approximately 1.5 hrs to reach the place is road condition is good. Overall it’s a little dry terrain as compared to Dalhousie and Khajjiar. And temperature also goes up as we go towards Chamera Dam.  As you move out from Chamba town, you follow Ravi river for some time and then take right. After 45 minutes of drive, you get a glimpse of Chemera Dam.
