Apart from National Wildlife Park at Bannerghatta, there is a zoological space outside it and quite interesting as compared to other Zoos I have seen so far. This Photo Journey will take you through a tour inside Bannerghatta Zoo in Bangalore, India...
Very first photograph of this Photo Journey is clicked inside Butterfly park which is near to exit gate of Bannerghatta National Park. This Butterfly park has various types of colorful Butterflies in different sizes with colorful flowers/plants all around. This is one of the most popular part for kids and they really enjoy it. Apart from a Butterfly Park, there is a Butterfly museum, with lot of information about different families of butterflies, their life-cycle and other related stuff.
Most of the buildings around this place were quite colorful and well maintained. Not sure if these were new or quite old. This one is very close to Butterfly Park at Bannerghatta, Bangalore !

Colorful Birds at Bannerghatta Zological Park, Bangalore, Karnataka, India
There were lot of colorful birds inside Bannerghatta Zoo and I don't know the name of the one you see in above photograph. I tried to find out the name and found an interesting link for Birders who plan to visit Zoo at Bannerghatta. Following link shares names of the birds which can be seen at Bannerghatta Zoo - http://avibase.bsc-eoc.org/checklist.jsp?region=INswka11&list=howardmoore
There are various varieties of Tortoise at Bannerghatta Zoo in Bangalore. Tortoises are a family of land-dwelling reptiles of the order of turtles. Like their marine cousins, the sea turtles, tortoises are shielded from predators by a shell. The top part of the shell is the carapace, the underside is the plastron, and the two are connected by the bridge. Tortoises can vary in size from a few centimeters to two meters. Tortoises are usually diurnal animals with tendencies to be crepuscular depending on the ambient temperatures. The ones shown in above photograph were most attractive and colorful for me :)

Bangalore City experiences a tropical savanna climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Due to its high elevation, Bangalore usually enjoys a more moderate climate throughout the year, although occasional heat waves can make things very uncomfortable in the summer. The coolest month is January and the hottest month is April. Bangalore gets rainfall from both the northeast and the southwest monsoons and the wettest months are September, October and August, in that order. The summer heat is moderated by fairly frequent thunderstorms, which occasionally cause power outages and local flooding.
Overall, Zoological Park at Bannerghatta of Bangalore is an interesting place to spend some time with varied wildlife at it's best.
