A Photo Journey with Glitering sky - Stars, Moon & Sunny compositions

Recently one of my engineer friend was working on a project, where he needed photographs on Stars, Moon and Sun. He had some interesting theories around these three elements in our lives and then I thought of making this Photo Journey, which is trying to understand more about these.. During this project, following photographs were selected and most of them were used in various parts. His favorite was the first one, which show star-trails although this is not correctly shot photograph. Of-course, I am not going to disclose the problem here.Star-trails used to be one of my favorite subjects earlier but two years back I lost all my data in Laptop-crash, after which I have started taking three backups of my photographs :Here is a photograph of full moon sitting on top a snow covered hill in Himachal Pradesh... There are many theories behind romantic moon-light and there are some places in world, which are just popular because of good Moon Light. Although it was surprising, anything is possible in this world...At above photograph shows Stars are used in many of the bollywood movies to show romantic environment. Above photograph is from one of the Indian Theatre called RED HOT.Romance in Moon-Light or under star studded sky is something that we have seen everywhere, but Sun is so special for me from photography POV. This is something easy to shoot while you are travelling. Especially this is one of my favorite subjects in hills, where sky is quite clear and you can experiment with with it's light. It's difficult to get it right in cities where we get faded sky most of the times, due to pollution. Above photograph was shot at Red Fort in Delhi and probably I was there at right time/season. This particular photograph is used by many of the print publications in India and some of the websites as well.Hills are very special to capture these sky elements because of purity in environment. Above photograph was shot in Spiti and sky in Spiti shows you wonder. We were there in Spiti for 5 days and sky was different every day & every night. Above photograph is the very special for me and close to my heart, as there are many other memories attached to this particular place. Some people like the simple starred photographs without any trails in them. This is another popular photograph which is liked by many Adventure lovers, trekker, Travelers and of-course Travel agencies. This particular photograph was shot in a small village in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh - Sarahan which is near to Shrikhand Mahadev Trek in Himalayan Ranges.Another photograph with one of my favorite form of Sun... Starred Sun at Jalori Pass in Himachal Pradesh. And if you are wondering how to shoot such photographs, check out - http://phototravelings.blogspot.com/2011/02/sunny-photographs-with-star-effects.htmlPresence of Sun in a photograph adds lot of value in describing the visual impact. Above photograph shows the passion of this mountain biker who is riding his bike very comfortably under harsh sun !!!Clouds are one of the other important elements in sky which adds lot of value to your photographs. There are very few cases where plain sky can add some value to your photograph. Dramatic clouds, interesting flow of Stars, moon light or sunny magic can be something which can completely change your composition. This is one of the photograph which has none of these elements - Sun, Moon, Stars or clouds.. But the whole drama you see here is due to Lunar Eclipse at Delhi, INDIA. This is a photograph of Humayun's Tomb on Lunar Eclipse night. Here is a mix of two elements - One is pure form and other is form of rays. This process of filtering sunlight through dense clouds is something that almost every photographer loves. This one if from heaven on Earth, Kashmir !At times, other elements on earth can be very helpful in shaping up light coming from these natural sources. This is mid-day shot taken on the way to Shrikhand Manahdev in Himalayas. These ferns were beautiful and quite helpful in distributing the sunlight to give it a nice shape...Here is another theatrical representation of Moon-light when some romantic music is being played at Kamani Auditorium in Delhi ! Well the moon itself is rather feminine and many times its' used in romantic plays: 'I am the sun, and Juliet is the moon' etc.Another Theatrical representation of full moon during India's largest Theatre Festival in National Capital Region. So here I leave last two photographs for you to describe :)

Presence of Sun in a photograph adds lot of value in describing the visual impact. Above photograph shows the passion of this mountain biker who is riding his bike very comfortably under harsh sun !!!
