Every Monday, farmers come to Noida stadium with fresh vegetables and fruits. This place is quite near to my office and many of my office friends visit this Monday market to get fresh vegetables and fruits. I accompanied one of the friend and clicked these photographs with my Mobile Camera (HTC DesireHD). Let's check out ...
Usually rates of vegetables and fruits are quite competitive as compared to what we usually get in regular shops, MOther-Dairy or super-markets like Big-Bazar. But one needs to buy in good amount to have decent discounts. So more you buy, more discounts you get. Level of discounts vary from type of vegetable/fruit you are planning to buy.
Seasonal vegetables are usually very cheap and more discount is easy to get with increase in quantity.
Rates is one of the factors, but good availability of fresh vegetables at one place becomes one of the major reasons for folks to find time to come to this market and get stuff.
Farmers start to put stuff by 11am in the morning and keep selling the vegetables, unless they are done with most of the stock. This market is usually on till 11:30 or 12:00 at night.
One needs to be very attentive in such markets as some of the farmers bring old & rough stock to the market. So they try to sell the old stock unless you keep a closer eye at what they are packing for you.
These markets are quite crowded and many incidents of pick-pocketing are reported, so one needs to be very careful.
As Monday market is temporarily gathered around Noida stadium, all these farmers keep moving to different parts of Noida to serve most of the folks living in the city.
Gradually other vendors have started joining these markets who sell utility stuff and even cloths for kids & home decor stuff. Usually most of the stuff sold in this extended market is not of very good quality, but is quite useful for folks who find hard to visit regular markets to get small utility stuff.
