 North Indian weddings especially Punjabi Weddings are the most happening and loud weddings in my opinion. Let's check out this Photo Journey to experience the wonderful experiences of Indian Wedding Photography. 

 A wedding is typically an event of 3-4 days which consists of many customs to follow by both the families in order to successful completion of the main event and for the lifelong happiness of the newlywed couple.

Here I present to you few glimpse from Indian weddings which I captured because of my sheer interest in photography. I mean photography actually gave me an Insight of Indian Weddings and ability to see the beauty of the event as it happens from the very beginning to the happy ending of the complete event.

 [Pre-Wedding Event]
It is where you meet the couple before their big day.
Here they are all happy, excited and mostly nervous about the ongoing wedding preparations e.g. Shopping, Wedding Invites.


 

[A day before The Wedding]
All shopping and bookings are done by now and other customs start to take place from here on-
On day before the wedding, Mehndi[Henna] is being applied on the hands and feet of the bride at her home.


 

While on the groom’s side, other functions may happen such as bride’s family offerings to the groom’s family in the presence of a Pundit with few mantra chants by the holy man itself. Here is a combined photograph of Bride and Groom from the same day but different places-



[Wedding Day]
Wedding day starts with a healthy for skin custom which can be termed as “Yellow Yellow, healthy fellow”, where sister-in-laws apply turmeric to the face and body of bride/groom respectively at their own place.



After this homemade beauty addition, Brides usually freak out as their makeup start to take place at the parlor.
They now realize that this is it and it is going to happen very soon and they have to look at their best today.

Then just before going for the ceremony stage, they look as gorgeous as any Hollywood celebrity ever going to walk on the Red carpet for the Oscars:


 

[Show time]
Brides now take the most beautiful steps of their life towards the new beginning with all the cameras rolling and lights flashing on them. It is obviously the show time when they walk gracefully towards the better half of their life.
 

 

[The Happiness]
Now the bride simply looks onto the stage where groom is waiting with an awestruck look on his face after seeing the most beautiful woman with whom he going to spend the rest of his life. Bride now put a big smile on her face as her brothers slowly walk her to the stage.



[Jab We Met]
It’s time!

Now on the stage, it happens… Couple finally meets each other after completing hell lot of rituals… And world looks magical from here on as if everything was worth waiting for…

[Dance Move]
After all the ceremonies are over on the stage, Couple then go to the dance floor and dance on the most romantic song ever and spend few minutes in their own lovely world holding hands of each other. I love this part of the wedding where you feel that love is in the air. This one moment is like ‘You Complete Me’ moment for me.
 

[GoodBye]
After this generally couple goes for the grand meal together, where all of their families sit together and have food.

 

 And then comes the time when brides leave the place
 

  

And move to the next phase of her life where she is going to be the part of someone else’s family.
