Adobe Photoshop Elements has a wonderful functionality for correcting some of the optical distortions due to your camera/lens. Apart from that, there are some other uses of this functionality. Let's know few basic things about 'Correct Camera Distortions' under Filter Menu of Editor in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Above photograph shows one of the example where photograph had no problem but I wanted to have temple wall with straight lines. Earlier these lines were more towards outside from bottom. 'Vertical Perspective' is useful slider in this case. After using this control we need to crop the photograph to get perfect rectangular image with straight lines.
In similar way, Horizontal planes can also be corrected by using 'Horizontal Perspective'. Apart from these two controls there are ways to correct vignette, which can be seen in some of the photographs shot at different focal-lengths.
