Few weeks back when we were in Dalhousie, we were staying at Rashmi Villa (an ancient building of british ear). I used to get early in the morning because lot of birds visit the courtyard. It was chilled because of fresh snowfall, but still these birds were quite active. This Photo Journey shares some of the photographs of birds we saw there.
These birds were in abundance and they keep jumping from one place to other.
Himachal has lot of birding destinations and there are many around Dalhousie as well. Kala Top wildlife sanctuary, Dain kund trek and Khajjiar are some of the popular ones.
There were lot of other birds around but I couldn't capture them all in my Travellingcamera. These were some most noise making birds :), I mean they were very musical :)
Since snow had blocked most of the roads around Dalhousie, we couldn't go to Khajjiar or Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary. In fact, we just went out once to have a round on Dalhousie Mall road. Apart from these we saw various other birds but couldn't capture them well. I love the fact that Dalhousie Mall road is still very peaceful. I have been to this beautiful hill station multiple times and it always impresses me. I love the fact that no unnecessary construction is happening in the town, because this trends has already spoiled some of the popular hill stations in North India.
While there, we missed Nishant who loves to be around birds. Urvi is equally excited about about birds.
It was a lovely weekend spent around natural beauty of Himalayas.
