Vibha wanted us to visit 'The Cafe Life' in evening today, as a musical farewell was planned. I had never been to this place earlier, but had heard good things from Vibha. This Photo Journey shares some of the moments from musical evening.
People started gathering at 7pm. Vikas and Ninad encouraged few of the folks to start singing. I also sang few songs, but kept forgetting the lyrics :). Gradually everyone started participating in singings. We didn't know any of them except Vikas and Ninad. But in the musical mood of the evening, we felt that everyone of us have been knowing each other for a long time.
Some of the folks at cafe were singing really well.
At the evening progressed, folks got busy with singing, tapping tables, and clapping in same tune.
From old melodies to newer songs & from Ghazals to the hits of 90s, a lot of songs were sung by almost everyone.
There was a young musical band present at the cafe, which added background music to all the songs.
Some of the brilliant songs, such as "Jhoole Lalad", "Yeh Shaam Mastaani", "Uthe Sab Ke Kadam", were very well sung by folks present at cafe.
Ninad started some of the songs that kept increasing the overall energy at cafe.
The evening ended with a beautiful, heartfelt rendition of "Naam gum jayega, chehra yeh badal jayega" by Vikas Verma, the owner of the Cafe. The song reduced almost everyone present to tears because the occasion was such. The Cafe Life is closing down and this was the last musical evening before that. The Cafe has managed to touch many lives, and it was clear in the reaction of people who had spent time at the place.
