Yosemite National Park is a United States National Park spanning eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in the central eastern portion of the U.S. state of California, commonly referred to as Northern California. Yosemite National Park Service covers an area of approximately 748K acres and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain.
These spectacular views start welcome you at entrance of Yosemite Valley. Landscapes with mix of huge trees and rocks in contrasting colors make yosemite very special ad that's why it secures the places in to-do list of many travelers across the world.
Every year ~3.78 million people visit Yosemite and most spend the majority of their time in the seven square miles of Yosemite Valley. Yosemite is announced World Heritage Site in 1984 and is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls ,clear streams, giant sequoia groves, and biological diversity .
The drive to Yosemite National Park is equally beautiful. It's fun to drive around these terrains, especially in summers. It's challenging to drive on these roads during winters. Last Photo Journey shared by Gaurav shared more about challenges of visiting Yosemite during winters, when roads are full of snow. Winters are equally rewarding when all these peaks are covered with white snow and waterfalls are frozen.

El Capitan is a prominent granite cliff in Yosemite Nationa Par, which looms over Yosemite Valley. Al Capitan is one of the most popular rock climbing destinations in the world because of its diverse range of climbing routes in addition to its year-round accessibility.
Above photograph shows 'El Capitan', which is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. El Capitan is world's favorite challenges for rock climbers and BASE jumpers.
Yosemite Valley represents only one percent of the park area, but this is where most visitors arrive and stay. The Tunnel View is the first view of the Valley for many visitors and is extensively photographed. Above photograph is clicked down in the valley at Yosemite National Park.
While processing these photographs, I was not sure if they would look best in back&whites or colors. I would be spending more time on these photographs and share all of them in Balck&Whites.
This is the tunnel view. There is tunnel formed by mountains. A fire started when we were there so the view is not very clear.
Granite domes such as Sentinel Dome and Half Dome standing high across the valley floor. Above photograph is clicked in front of Half dome.
There are lot of waterfalls in Yosemite National Park and one of them is visible in above photograph. While roaming around the national park you come across some of the brilliant views with many waterfalls coming down from these huge mountains and rock shapes.
