Things to do at Longleat Safari and Adventure Park

Longleat safai and Adventure park is perfect place for day out with family and friends. It has adventure activities for all age’s people. Longleat was one of must have place to visit during our trip to UK. We planned to go there with friends and hired a traveller. It took around 3 hours for us to reach at longleat. You will have to buy ticket to get inside. They offer group discount as well and as we were a group of people we got 20% discount on tickets.

Longleat is one of must have place for bollywood lovers. The most famous movie Mohabbatein was shooted here. The longleat house was used as gurukul in the movie. Longleat house is one of the Elizabethan Prodigy House and known for its Elizabethan Country House, Hedge Maze and Safari Park. You can enjoy visiting longleat house from inside as well.

Hedge maze: The maze is constructed of more than 16,000 English yews and is one of the longest hedge maze in the world. It is fun to lost into it, choose which path to follow, which path can be dead end and which path will give you way to come out of it. After multiple attempts and with the help of all friends we completed it in 50 mins.

Next target was Jungle express which is a miniature railway and runs by large lake at longleat. You can enjoy small waterfalls during your journey of 30 mins. You will have to wait in queue to get into it as it can accommodate only few in one go.

Next comes jungle cruise which takes you through the lake where animals were grouped together in order to show them rather than in a more natural habitat. You can see hippos, sea lion and gorilla there. The lake has Small Island where old gorilla lives and known to be oldest gorilla of Europe. The Sea lions will swim around your boat cruise so give you chance to feed them and you will get splashed to see them jump to catch their food.

This adventure park has so many activities for kids to spend full day there. Jungle kingdom has animal habitats, small colourful gardens with butterflies flying around, beautiful birds, snakes who are so friendly to click picture with you. Kids there were braver as they were enjoying holding snakes in their hands.

Now comes the most interesting part of longleat which is safari park. Longleat management provide bus to take you inside safari park .They provide you VIP tickets as well where you can see animal more closely. You have option to take your own car inside safari park as well which most visitors prefers , just you have to be ready for warm welcome by monkeys ;) . Safari park has zebras, Giraffes, lions, tiger , monkeys , Tortoise , Rhinos and many others.
