This time when we visited San Jose, California in March'18 for a conference, we decided to take a quick trip of San Francisco on a Sunday. Although I had visited SF few times earlier as well, I was excited to visit this amazing city once more. We went straight to Pier39 market which is one of the most happening places in SF.
The market was full of people as it was a Sunday. There are a lot of shops around the market. You would see people walking around with their kids, buying stuff and enjoying food. The market is full of eateries where one can get variety of food options.

In the middle of the market, there is this "San Francisco Carousel". Apparently this carousel is quite famous and kids enjoy it a lot.
Kids were very excited for the ride and were waiting in a queue. I was impressed with the staff as they were taking the utmost care with the children and were making sure no one gets hurt.
On the other side of the carousel, this magician was running a show. He was showing tricks to people like balancing sticks without touching it from hand, balancing wheels etc.
A lot of people were enjoying his show with food and drinks. We also enjoyed it for some time. He was also narrating and cracking jokes.
On the other end, there is this sea front where you can take a walk, enjoy the scene of boats and ferries sailing in the ocean with beautiful mountains and skyline in the background.
You can also take a ferry ride around Pier39. Mostly people do biking around Pier39 and go up to The Golden Gate Bridge and to Sausalito and then come back on the ferry. This is a full day activity and is super fun. Read more about this: Biking is super fun in San Francisco

You can see people sailing with their private boats around in the ocean.
It was rather partly cloudy/sunny day. It rained the day before in San Jose.
I always like to click the pictures when there are clouds in the sky. We stayed there for a while enjoying the view and the cool breeze.
You could see a lot of private boats parked around the pier. This will make you wish to own a private boat of your own :)
We came back to enjoy the magic show a bit more before heading to have some food (seafood to be specific :P).
After walking around the market a bit more, we decided to bike around and rented bikes. We went up to The Golden Gate Bridge and then came back.
So next time you are in SF, do not forget to visit this more than alive place also known as "Fisherman's Wharf".
If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -
- Manage your waste well and don’t litter
- Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.
- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
