While roaming around the Warsaw Town, I noticed this high building from various parts of the city and it looked like a giant clock tower. When I checked more, I got to know that its tallest building in Poland. While returning from Old Town of Warsaw city towards our Hotel, we saw this building for the first time and then had multiple encounters from various parts of the city because of it's height.
This notable building of Warsaw, Palace of Culture and Science was constructed in 1950s. As of today, it has various companies, public/private institutions and also hosts cultural activities & authorities of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
I have shared night photographs of Palace of Culture & Science but we saw it during the day time as well. I am not sure if my observation is correct or not, but I left like color of the light in evening changes on this building. Wondering if that's because of the light used or kind of stone used to build it. It can also be about impact of the lighting in different times of the evening, which means darkness level of natural light.
Motivated by Polish historicism and American art high-rise buildings, the Palace of Culture & Science and is informally referred to as the Eighth Sister as well. And do you know what is Seven Sisters? The building was originally known as the Joseph Stalin Palace of Culture and Science.
Some of the websites recommend a visit to Palace of Culture & Science, Warsaw but we couldn't go inside because of lack of time. I would certainly plan a visit to Palace of Culture & Science, Warsaw when I am town again.
