During my first visit to Europe, I was traveling to Warsaw from Delhi and took Aeroflot Airlines. While coming back, I chose Turkish Airlines. Turkish Airline takes a hop in Istanbul. This post shares about my personal experience of Turkish airlines and review about different aspects we check while choosing a flight for international travel.
My special experience of this flight was running around Istanbul Airport because of short layoff time between the flights and under estimating the size & crowd of Istanbul airport. While getting down at Istanbul, I ran till the other end from where I had to catch next Turkish Airlines flight for Delhi.
Flight durations -
Warsaw to Istanbul - 4.5 hrs
Istanbul to Delhi - 4.5 hrs
Let's talk about some of the common things we look for when traveling long distances across oceans.
Leg room - 3/5 - Leg room was an issue, especially in flight from Warsaw to Istanbul. Istanbul to Delhi flight had better leg space but still it was congested in comparison to other international airlines.
Seat Comfort - 3.5/5 - Seat comfort of Turkish Airlines planes is comparatively ok.
Food & Drinks - 4/5 - Food options are pretty good for both vegetarians as well as folks who like non-veg preparations.
Service & Staff - 4/5 - Overall I experienced good service and found staff of Turkish Airlines courteous.
Entertainment System - 4/5 - Reasonable entertainment system with decent variety and range of content.
Logistics management - 4/5 - Check-in process to handling of luggage and taking care of elder passenger on airport as well as on plane is pretty good. I couldn't come across any glitches in these processes for me or my friends.
Layoff Airport Experience - 3/5 - Istanbul airport is very chaotic, so if you have less time it can get hard to reach other gate from where you need to catch connecting flight.

- Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
- Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.
- Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite.
