While walking around Bangkok city of Thailand, we came across this beautiful place called Phra Sumen Fort, which is one of the remaining original forts that guarded the city of Rattanakosin. This fort is located on the bank of Chao Phraya River and surrounded by beautiful park. This post shares more about Phra Sumen Fort and other interesting things to do around this place along with some interesting tips to make this visit special.
Above photograph shows the nearby park from where you can see Chao Phraya River and it's bridge. Lot of walking & biking tours take a pause here to enjoy views of the river.

Phra Sumen Fort is the northernmost of Rattanakosin's original forts, located at the mouth of Khlong Rop Krung. The octagonal fort is built of masonry on a 2 metres deep spread footing foundation. It is 45 metres in diameter and has a height of 10.5 metres measured to top of the sema-shaped battlements of the upper level.
