Although there are private beaches at Four Seasons Papagayo Peninsula but if someone is reaching the beach through water, no one can stop them. So there is very high probability that you would find other vendors selling you different kinds of day tours on these beaches. These folks can roam around the beach but certainly not allowed inside the property.

Catamaran can not really reach the beach because of it's structure and size. So we took smaller boats to reach the Catamaran and when everyone was boarded we started our journey into the bay. Sun was pretty harsh and initially we ignored it & sat on the top of the deck. Gradually everyone wanted a space in shade with few exceptions.

After a 25 minutes ride into the ocean, our Catamaran stopped and now it was time to gear up for Snorkeling. But soon after we got to know that water is little muddy and there may not be very interesting views inside the Bay. Vibha and I anyway planned to remain on Catamaran and enjoy some drinks on the deck. We had lunch & drinks arrangements so it was a well planned outing into the ocean.

Snorkeling is the practice of swimming on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped breathing tube called a snorkel, and usually swimfins. In cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn. Use of this equipment allows the snorkeler to observe underwater attractions for extended periods with relatively little effort and to breathe while face-down at the surface. Snorkeling is also used by scuba divers when on the surface, in underwater sports such as underwater hockey and underwater rugby, and as part of water-based searches conducted by search and rescue teams.

Snorkeling is a popular recreational activity, particularly at tropical resort locations. The primary appeal is the opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural setting without the complicated equipment and training required for scuba diving. It appeals to all ages because of how little effort there is, and without the exhaled bubbles of scuba-diving equipment. It is the basis of the two surface disciplines of the underwater sport of finswimming.

While we were coming back to Four Seasons Papagayo Peninsula, we also had 2 huge catches. It was fun to catch these huge fish from the ocean and then some of us had them in the dinner. Above photograph shows one of the catch we had during this Snorkeling & Catamaran trip in Pacific Ocean & it's bay.
