Our first stop was Golden Gate North Vista Point, when we were going to Muir Woods from San Francisco. This place is on right side, just after crossing Golden Gate Bridge when you are going from San Francisco city to Muir Woods. During first half of the day, you are standing against the light if you want to see Golden Gate. We thought of walking a little on the bridge and went up to the middle of the gate. That way, we could click some of the photographs of the Golden Gate Bridge with direct sunlight on it.
If you look closely at the photograph above, there are binoculars installed to enjoy brilliant views around Golden Gate North Vista Point, which includes San Francisco Downtown, Ferries in the bay, Kayaks, surfers, people walking around the Golden Gate Bridge, birds, ships etc.

Let's talk a little about parking scenario around Golden Gate North Vista Point. There are about 40-60 parking slots around Golden Gate North Vista Point. Usually they are full, so expect to wait for few minutes to find a parking slot. If you want to avoid parking hassle, because that would be common around all the places you would plan to visit in San Francisco - take a bus tour.
There are different bus tours available in San Francisco which take you to different places of interest for Tourists. Some of the operators offer hop on hop off, which means you can get down at a place take your time to explore and then monitor next bus coming in that direction which you can take to go toward next place you want to visit & explore. Big Bus is very popular in San Francisco.
If you plan to opt for a day tour, reach Union Square in San Francisco by 9-9:30am and there would be multiple vendors offering different kinds of day tours around San Francisco. Before going there do some research about these vendors, check reviews and also keep a tentative itinerary in mind. That can save your time choosing right option and on the basis of reviews, you would chose right kind of vendor for yourself. Although we have mentioned Big Bus in this blogpost but that's just an example and we don't endorse and vendor as most of the times I have either used Uber, public transportation or walked.

While on Golden Gate North Vista Point, it's must to walk on Golden Gate Bridge. And we have different recommendations depending upon how you come to Golden Gate North Vista Point - self-driven car which is parked or Tour bus or Uber.
While Driving to Golden Gate North Vista Point :
Walk till middle of the Golden Gate Bridge and then come back to Golden Gate North Vista Point for your next journey around San Francisco.
The other option can be, go to other part of the Golden Gate Bridge and take uber to reach Golden Gate North Vista Point for picking your car from the parking. This may take a little more time but worth completing the walk through whole bridge which is 1.6 kilometers long.
While exploring the city in a Bus Tour :
Taking a hop on hop off bus tour makes you little free as you can go towards other end of the Golden Gate Bride and hop on to the next bus from other side. You don't need to come to the Golden Gate North Vista Point in this case and that's a big relief at times.
When you are in the middle of the bridge, touch the iron rods of the bridge to experience vibrations on the bridge due to vehicles moving around.
