2. Food on street kiosks is yummy, safe as well as pocket friendly.
Throughout our stay we tried food on streets and night markets with few exceptions. We loved the overall experience and that way you roll like thai people.

3. Make best use of free breakfast at your hotel, but don't make a bad plan for the day if breakfast timings are weird.

4. Use public transportation and Google-maps can help you with that, especially in main cities like Bangkok.

5. Taxis in places like Phuket are comparatively expensive but avoidable with good public transportation available.

6. Always grab your liquor/beer from stores, instead of buying at your hotel.

7. While going to beaches, keep a bag with you to carry eatables & liquor. It's understandable that you would be carrying hot beer in the bag, but it's pretty easy to find 7-Eleven kind of store around beaches as well.

8. Light luggage is always helpful in making random plans. Ultimately you are there to explore and you may encounter new opportunities on your way at pocket friendly cost.

9. Some of the local flights charge for extra check-in luggage, so if it's avoidable you can save good chunk of money. If you have more luggage, make sure you chose right flight to avoid extra charges.

10. Train is pretty cheap option to move between cities and there are overnight trains as well. E.g. - If you want to go to Chiang Mai from Bangkok, there is overnight train and that's much cheaper in comparison to flight.

11. Good homestays through AirBnB given much better experience at the money you spend. Chose good home-stays even if it's little expensive as good stay brings lot of difference to your experience of that place. our Homestay in Ayutthaya was great and best stay experience in Thailand. In other cities, we chose to stay in Hotels because of proximity.

12. If you are a group, renting a car to move around can be pretty cheap and driving in Thailand is a decent experience for Asian tourists, but can't comment for tourists from west or Europe.

Let me share a Mega-Tip to manage your expenses well - Track your expenses on daily basis and see where you are spending more/less. That would make you improve your plans on daily basis but don't overdo it.
