Above photograph is a classical example of a Panorama photograph where you can see a wide view of the space and such view can only be clicked in Panorama mode. Let's talk about "How to take a panorama photo with your phone" (Feel free to skip if you know how to do it in your phone and move to next section, which would be helpful to be good at it and be creative) :

Let's talk about "How to take a panorama photo with your phone" (Feel free to skip if you know how to do it in your phone and move to next section, which would be helpful to be good at it and be creative) :

1. Open your phone’s camera and put it in panorama mode.

2. Hold the phone vertically for a horizontal panorama, or horizontally for a vertical panorama. (More about vertical panoramas below)

3. iPhone users can tap the arrow to change the direction of the panorama (right to left or vice versa). Android users can move left or right without specifying their direction.

4. Tap the Click button to start your panorama.

5. Move the phone to capture the desired scene, keeping it as steady as possible.

6. When you are done, tap the click button to finish.

Above photograph is an example of Vertical Panoramas. If you notice closely and see where camera is placed. You would realise that clicking this huge building was impossible to click in normal photo mode and I didn't have space to move father. So this photograph is clicked by using Panorama mode while moving the camera from bottom to top instead of right to left or left to right.

The trickiest part of clicking panoramic photos is keeping your phone steady and moving at the right pace. It’s also the most important, because incorrect movements result in jagged, black sections that make the edges of your panorama look broken.

The goal is a continuous, smooth movement. Too slow may lead to overlap in odd ways. Too fast may result in a blurry photo. iPhone and most Android cameras have a line that you should stay on.

Struggling to hold your phone steady? A small tripod can make all the difference.

Manage varied lighting of the scene well :

Very high contrast situations can be hard to shoot, so you may want to be mindful about lighting at different places you want to capture in your panorama and ensure that you start from correct direction to balance lighting in your final photograph.

You may need to try multiple times, so have patience to click great Panoramas :

Perfect panoramas rarely happen on the first take, so try have patience if you have to make a few attempts before it comes out right. At times a common trick like clicking 2 panoramas of every scene helps - right to left as well as as left to right. The main difference you would notice in terms of lighting and the other may be that you discover your left to right movement is smoother than other way.

Let's talk about how above photograph is clicked with Panorama mode. It's not edited and clicked with creative use of Panorama mode.

1. Made these 4 people sit on left side and placed camera in panorama mode.
2. Clicked from left to right.
3. When 4 of them are in frame, moved the camera to right and then asked Pihu (first person from left to standup and go to other wide but from back side of the camera.)
4. Pihu sat at new location and not camera is capturing her in new location. This is the time for next person to repeat #3.
5. Repeated step 3/4 for rest of the 2 as well.

And that's how final panorama had every person twice and at 2 different location in same scene. Isn't it amazing.
