International Space Station Webcam
This one is my absolute favorite. If there are still debates about whether Earth is round or flat (if you don't believe that this is true, do a google search for the Flat Earth Society), this webcam should settle it. The great part about this webcam is that you do get to internalize that we humans have been able to make space satellites so fast that they are able to orbit the Earth in 90 minutes. As a result, the space station moves from darkness to light pretty quickly. One moment you are seeing the sun rise, the other moment you are looking at the stars. Check it out here.
Paris Catacombs Ghost Cam
There are several Ghost cams around the world, but I share the link to the Paris Catacombs Ghost Cam because it is live and functioning. Unlike the International Space Station webcam, however, this requires patience. It is unlikely that is ghost will pop up if you watch it for a few hours. You may want to keep a watch for a longer time. Or may be for a lifetime. This is how it is with such things. You will chance upon a ghost when you are least expecting, and when you expect one, you will most likely not see it. Anyhow, here is the link to the webcam.
Costa Rica Volcano Cam
Back to something that is more real - here is an active volcano that you can watch. It will most likely not erupt while on your watch, but you never know. This particular volcano is close to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. It is Arenal and the volcano last erupted in 2010. While you are not likely to witness lava flowing out of it, the sight is beautiful with clouds covering the crater on the top and lush green forest all around it. The ecosystem around a volcano is also pretty interesting with colorful birds and insects and a variety of tall trees. Here is the link to the webcam.
Lochness Webcam
If you have heard of the legend of Nessie, the monster that is supposed to inhabit the depths of Loch Ness, you will definitely want to subscribe to this webcam. It keeps a watch on the surface of Loch Ness, scanning it for any appearance of the monster. Indeed, in February 2020, it did claim to have captured a footage of Nessie. And in 2020 there have been 12 registered sightings of Nessie, all have been updated in the Official Loch Ness Monster Sighting Register. Click here to watch the webcam. Who knows, may be your name too will find a mention in the register.
Norway Live Train Webcam
This is one of the most engaging webcam I have ever stumbled across. This is a webcam that provides the driver's view from the train as it traverses that scenic Norwegian countryside. While right now, it almost appears black and white because of the abundant snow, one can imagine what it would be like in spring. Click here and get hooked.
And here is a bonus webcam. If you enjoyed watching the guy do nothing, you will enjoy watching this. This is Watching the Grass Grow Cam, where the feed is updated every second. Of course you need to keep a close watch lest you miss the phenomenon. Here is the link and all the best.
