If you have been following the ongoing series of blogposts on Goa, you would know that Miramar beach was the most visited one this time because we were staying at the Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. So it was very convenient to step out early in the morning or in evening to enjoy those splashes of waves covering your feet with thin layer of sand. and as we walked more on Miramar beach we realised that this is a very special beach of Goa because of various reasons.

Miramar beach is also known as golden beach of Goa. I am not sure about the exact reason but sunset from Miramar makes me believe that it can be called Golden Beach. The other reason can be unique colour of water at Miramar beach, may be it's because it's a confluence of Mandovi river and Arabian sea.

Miramar beach is situated at the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea and it's popular for various events hosted here. One of the key reasons is that Goa Tourism has a small resort and cafe close to the beach. Most likely this place is most convenient logistically and also close to many town action a it's in Panjim. Out of the 2 beaches of Panjim, Miramar is the popular one where you will see lot of locals as well as tourists visiting, especially during mornings and evenings.

Supposedly Miramar beach is also considered the longest beach in Goa state and it's spread over 2 kilometers. The grand entry to the Miramar beach is from the circle where Goa Tourism property is located and it's also a bus stop, with small kiosks selling snacks & toys for kids visiting the beach. Just close to the beach, there is a park and a bunch of coconut trees looking over the beach.

Above photograph shows a beautiful pattern of sand on the beach. This was created by a small water stream flowing from a backwater source to the beach. The water was constantly flowing through this path. I loved this pattern on the beach and thought of clicking a photograph.

The Miramar beach is also accessible through public transportation available in Panjim. That's best part of Panjim town in Goa, that if you want to take public transportation you can and the availability is pretty decent. As you move away from the town, you would need a reliable transportation of your own - taxi or car/bike on rent.

The beach looks even stunning during sunsets. During monsoons, either the sunsets are pretty dull or full of colours and we saw almost all the variations, which you can see through photographs shared in this blogpost. Miramar beach looks different with hues of sunsets and specially monsoons make sunsets even special.
