When our street-walk took us to famous The Ram Bhandar for the best breakfast we had in Varanasi, India
..
We took a stop and thought of trying it out. I am using the word 'trying it out' because we didn't know anything about this place and idea was just to taste the stuff being served in this shop. After some struggle, I reached the counter to get a token. I got 2 plates for 5 people. As I stepped out and smelled the food, I realised that may be I should have paid for 3 plates if not 4 :. But it was too late now. On my token, there was waiting time of 20 mins and taking another token would have added 10-15 mins more.
After a good waiting time, our turn came and we grabbed out plates. 2 kinds of sabzis (Aalu ki sabzi and kale chane ki sabzi ) are given in each plate of kachoris. It didn't take much time to finish it and all of us loved the food. That was the time that we looked up the name of the shop on internet. So The Ram Bhandar is one of the most popular breakfast places in Varanasi and locals get their breakfasts packed from this place. They only open in the morning and most of the stuff is sold in few hours to close the shop.
Time to enjoy breakfast at The Ram Bhandar - 7am till 12pm.
They had stopped taking orders when we were eating as material was about to finish. Apart from Kachoris, they also sell jalebis. We had taken one plate of Jalebis as well and those were also good, if not great.
So if you are in Varanasi and staying near Thatheri Bazar of Vanaras, we certainly recommend going to The Ram Bhandar and enjoy their special breakfast.
