 Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge: Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge is a road bridge that connects Rameshwaram Island to the mainland. The bridge is known for its engineering marvel and is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can take a walk on the bridge and enjoy the stunning views of the sea. 

There are two bridges that connect Pamban Island with the mainland of India. They are: Pamban Bridge or Pamban Rail Bridge: This is a railway bridge that connects the town of Mandapam on the mainland with the town of Rameswaram on Pamban Island. It was built in 1914 and is a cantilever bridge that spans the Palk Strait. Pamban Road Bridge or Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge: This is a road bridge that was built in 1988 and is located parallel to the Pamban Rail Bridge. It connects the National Highway 49 on the mainland with the Rameswaram town on Pamban Island. The bridge is 2.3 km long and has a vertical clearance of 22 metres, allowing small vessels to pass under it.

 Ariyaman Beach: Ariyaman Beach is a beautiful beach located in Rameshwaram. The beach is known for its serene surroundings and is a popular spot for swimming and other water activities.

The House of Kalam is located in a modest two-story building that was once Kalam's childhood home. The building has been meticulously restored and renovated to reflect the life and times of Kalam. Visitors can explore the various exhibits and displays that showcase Kalam's personal belongings, photographs, awards, and other memorabilia. One of the highlights of the House of Kalam is a replica of the Agni missile, which Kalam helped develop. Kalam House: The Kalam House is a simple, two-storied building made of wood and has a thatched roof. The house is located in the Pallivasal Street in Rameshwaram and is surrounded by coconut trees. The house has been preserved in its original form, and visitors can see the room where Dr. Kalam was born and grew up.

The ground floor of the Kalam House has been converted into a museum, which contains several photographs, books, and personal belongings of Dr. Kalam. The museum showcases the life and achievements of Dr. Kalam and his contributions to the fields of science, technology, and education.

The museum also has a section dedicated to the former President's childhood and his early education. Visitors can see the books and study materials used by Dr. Kalam during his school days. The museum also has a section on the family and personal life of Dr. Kalam, which provides an insight into his values and beliefs.

What is Best time to visit Ramwshwaram in Tamilnadu? 

The best time to visit Rameshwaram is from October to April as the weather during these months is pleasant and comfortable. The temperature during this time ranges between 20°C to 30°C, making it an ideal time for sightseeing and outdoor activities. 

 During the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, Rameshwaram experiences heavy rainfall, which can disrupt travel plans and make it difficult to explore the town. The summer months, from May to June, can be hot and humid, with temperatures soaring up to 40°C, making it uncomfortable for outdoor activities. 

Therefore, the months of October to April are considered the best time to visit Rameshwaram. During this time, the weather is pleasant, the skies are clear, and the sea is calm, making it the perfect time to explore the town's temples, beaches, and other attractions. However, it is important to note that the peak tourist season in Rameshwaram is from December to January, so it is advisable to make travel arrangements in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles.

Main places to see & Top things to do around Dalhousie : Stunning Hill Station in Himalayan State of India

  Dalhousie is one of the most popular Hill Stations in Himachal  and there is lot to explore around Dalhousie. This is small and very well maintained town in Chamba region of Himachal Pradesh . This Photo Journey shares some of the exciting places around Chamba and how to plan a good one day tour through Khajjiar, Chamba & Chamera etc. CHAMERA HYDROLIC PROJECT Chamera Hydroelectric Project is located in Banikhet, 7 kms from Dalhousie. The water body near the lake is very scenic and is a popular boating spot. Chamera Dam is around 40 kilometers from Chamba Town. It takes approximately 1.5 hrs to reach the place is road condition is good. Overall it’s a little dry terrain as compared to Dalhousie and Khajjiar. And temperature also goes up as we go towards Chamera Dam.  As you move out from Chamba town, you follow Ravi river for some time and then take right. After 45 minutes of drive, you get a glimpse of Chemera Dam.
