The Menu: A Culinary Adventure  The menu at Chef's Kitchen is an eclectic mix of local Ladakhi specialties and international favorites. The extensive selection made it hard to choose, but we finally settled on a variety of dishes to sample a bit of everything.

Ladakhi Specialties:

Skyu: A traditional Ladakhi dish made from hand-rolled wheat dough cooked with root vegetables. This hearty stew is a must-try for those looking to experience local flavors.

Chutagi: Another Ladakhi favorite, chutagi is a pasta-like dish with dough pieces shaped like bowties, cooked in a rich broth of vegetables and sometimes meat. It is filling and packed with earthy flavors.

Khambir: Ladakhi bread, often served with butter tea or soups, has a distinct flavor and is slightly chewy. It’s the perfect accompaniment to most dishes on the menu.

Ladakh had been on our minds for several years by the time we got down to seriously planning for a trip  there.
